I am updating this page with very sad news. Unfortunately Cora didn’t make the cut and wasn’t able to advance into our breeding program. Our decision to cut her from our program is due to health issues. It broke my heart when I got the news and hated to say goodbye to Cora and Rebecca. Cora was my last litter out of Jetta and this of course made the news even more crushing. My breeder heart will always hold a special spot for sweet Cora!
Cora is a very special girl in our breeding program, as she is the one of the last direct lines out of Jetta.Cora is Affectionate. Kind. Gentle. Welcoming pup. She is the most exceptional girl with an other-worldly temperament. Cora definitely takes after her dam Jetta possessing a wonderfully silly and kind personality with absolutely gorgeous head structure and conformation. She stands like a statue like Jetta and has the perfect on/off switch. Cora is the type of dog that you can throw into any sport or activity one time and she does it.
Cora is part of DTR’s Canine Caretaker Companions puppy program. Which provides our puppies a safe home, take them to obedience classes, serve up a healthy diet, provide socialization opportunities and give lots of love. Each hour spent caring for our puppy is vital to its development as a future dog for our breeding program. Puppy Raising volunteers are an essential part of our breeding program at Ducktown Retriever. Every successful dam has a Puppy Raiser/Caretaker who gave them plenty of love, taught them basic skills and provided experiences to allow them to feel safe in the world.
